Each year the students and faculty of Austin High gather to recognize
outstanding achievements of faculty and alumni. Many of us attended the 2006
Dedication Day when the band hall was renamed to honor Corkey Robinson.
Last year, Dedication Day included a tour of the archival exhibit which includes
the nation's third largest class ring collection, a collection of books by Austin
High faculty and alumni, and memorabilia of Austin High's classes. You can visit
the Hall of Honor which includes portraits of faculty and alumni who have been
recognized as outstanding representatives of Austin High. You may see some
familiar faces there, including Jake Pickle, Cactus Pryor, Liz Carpenter, Zachary
Scott, Harvey Penick, and Don Baylor. This is a great opportunity to visit the new
Austin High School. Events last year ran from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. This year's
schedule will be posted here when it becomes available.
